How do Presence Modes quiet my apps?
With Apple’s Screen Time. Turn on Screen Time access in Mimo, then choose what each mode quiets in Apple’s app picker. While the mode runs, those apps show a calm shield with a Close button. Without Screen Time access, modes still work as gentle reminders.
How do I get my apps back right away?
Tap Stop and restore access in Mimo or End on the Lock Screen, or use Restore all access on Mimo’s Shield tab. Shields also lift on their own when a mode ends, even if Mimo is closed.
An app is still shielded after a mode ended
Open Mimo once; it lifts any leftover shield. If that doesn’t help, go to iOS Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access and turn Mimo off. That removes every shield Mimo set.
The Lock Screen card stays after a mode ends
Tap Close on the card, or open Mimo. iOS doesn’t let a closed app remove its card at an exact time.
Does Mimo see which apps I use?
No. iOS hides your choices from Mimo; it only knows how many apps you picked. See the privacy policy.
How does Mimo grow?
Finished modes earn XP and Sparks. Mimo grows through five ages, from kitten to junior, young adult, adult and senior, and from young adult on its colours reflect the modes you use most. Nothing is earned by opening the app, and nothing ever takes XP away.
How do I do a mode with friends?
Open a mode and tap Do it together to invite friends with SharePlay, in Messages or a FaceTime call (iOS or iPadOS 15.4 or later). Everyone’s cat sits in one room. When the host taps Start together, every device starts its own session at the same moment and quiets its own apps. Friends only see the name you choose and your cat’s look.
